The Operator Diagnostic: Restaurant Group Self-Assessment

The Operator Diagnostic™

First, the honest version.

The Operator Diagnostic is a structured intake built on the RANGE framework: seven sections, about thirty-five questions, across operations, alignment, focus, momentum, and team. No cost, no obligation. Plan on thirty to forty-five minutes; it rewards a real answer, not a fast one.

After you submit, your responses come straight to me, Jon Peck, who founded RANGE. I review every diagnostic personally and respond within 48 hours (the next business day if you send it over a weekend) with next steps or with the reasons we are not the right fit. You get a real answer either way.

Your responses are stored securely and used to prepare your read. Never sold, and never shared for anyone else’s marketing.

About the Diagnostic

The Operator Diagnostic is a structured intake for multi-unit restaurant groups, built on the RANGE framework. It starts with the basics of your operation, then walks the five moves: what is actually happening on the floor, where leadership intent and shift-level execution diverge, where your focus is going, how momentum gets built, and whether the operation runs without you in the room. Plan on thirty to forty-five minutes.

Answer plainly. Rough numbers beat polished guesses, and the honest version of a problem is more useful than the presentable one. Your answers save as you go, so you can stop and come back.

Every submission gets a personal review, not an automated score. Within 48 hours you get the Straight Read: what your answers suggest, what I would look at first, and whether a conversation makes sense.
